About Takiyah Williams, Board Member
Takiyah Williams brings a dynamic combination of education, economics, fashion, dance, choreography, and cultural arts to Different Faces Places and People, Inc.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and is an accomplished fashion designer, Afro-Caribbean dancer, choreographer, and costume designer specializing in Afrocentric clothing and cultural expression.
Takiyah is the Director of Kia’s Dance & Drum Ensemble and the founder of Kia’s Creations, a clothing line offering Afrocentric designs for men, women, and children. Through her creative work, she uses fashion, movement, music, and cultural expression to celebrate and preserve African and Caribbean heritage.
Takiyah also works as an educator with Broward County Public Schools, bringing her experience as a teacher together with her background in the creative arts.
As a member of the leadership team, Takiyah contributes a unique perspective that bridges education, entrepreneurship, fashion, performing arts, and cultural preservation. Her experience supports the organization’s commitment to providing young people and communities with meaningful opportunities to learn about history and culture through creativity and the arts.
